If you’ve ever been to a middle school class, there are probably some things that make it more enjoyable than others. Whether it’s the teacher or the subject matter, we can all agree that some classes are better than others. Well one way to make them all better is by taking these five steps: 1) Create an organized seating chart 2) Bring in treats once a month for everyone 3) Use student-created PowerPoint presentations as visual aids during lectures 4) Hold parent/teacher conferences at least twice per year and 5) Schedule time each day for students to work on their own projects and homework You may be thinking, “why bother?” Well it’s not just about making the class more enjoyable for students. Teachers will also be able to better assess student progress because they can see what each student is capable of and how much work they need to do.
